Payment
policy.
- The next month's payment is due at the last class of each month.
No tuition refunds are given for missed class.
- The last month's tuition in paid at the beginning of the year.
This payment will cover the four last classes of the school year.
- A student’s enrollment can be terminated by the
parents at any time for any reason. A notice of termination is
required one month in advance for complete refund of unused tuition.
Home
assignments and materials for studing math.
- Home assignments should be done each week. It is not always
easy to make your children work well unless you pay close attention
to his/her homework and help if necessary. We will check the homework
and then return them with the comments. During classes we will
discuss the main errors. Nevertheless, please work with your child
at home and check again if he/she understands all of his/her mistakes.
- A large number of geometrical and logical sets will be used
during the school year. Some of these sets will be given to students
to take home.
There is a deposit of $50 for all takehome sets for the whole
year. The deposit will be refunded in its full amount at the end
of the academic year (or any other time your child decides to
leave the sudio) upon returning of the sets.
- A significant part of homework consists of the the work with
different construction and design sets. You are expected to buy
one construction set. Required sets: "Block" for preschool
and grade K; "Seva 4" for grades 1 and 2.
Math studio rules and separation policy.
- Discipline is a very important part of the learning process.
We will inform you if your child misbehaves and disrupts the normal
course of instruction, and we will inform you of your child's
disciplinary problems (if there are any). If there are discipline
issues, we ask you to work with your child to explain to him or
her that such a behavior negatively affects the learning process
of all other the children in the group. Your cooperation will
be greatly appreciated.
- Please notify us as soon as possible in instances when your
child cannot attend the class. In the event of a missed class,
we ask you to pick up the homework assignment and help your child
work on it (if needed) to make sure your child comes prepared
for the next class
- We ask that you come on time, not late and not significantly
earlier than the scheduled start of the class . We also ask you
to be on time to pick up your child after class. Do not allow
your child to leave without you. Our studio is located in a residential
area. Please respect our neighbors and leave quietly in order
to avoid complaints from the neighbors.
- Since different students progress at different paces during
the year, we reserve the right to change the group assignments
according to student's level.
- If a child does not do the homework regularly, does not behave
well, or makes it difficult for other students to learn, we reserve
the right to expel him/her during or after the school year. We
will give several warnings and discuss the situation with the
parents before we do so.
